I WILL BREAK RULES

The first rule I will break about my about me, is to NOT talk about my advertising experience right away.

I've been screen printing for 15 years.
And I won't ever let it go.
In fact, I still print shirts for my clients today.
It keeps me grounded in both art and business.
And reminds me that great relationships, make great work.
But mostly, I just fucking love it.

Screen printing also taught me the importance of being a good leader.
Sometimes you get a massive job.
Like thousands of t-shirts.
But it's due Monday, and its Friday.
Its gonna take way more than extra money and pizza to get people to help.
It takes personal equity.
Again, real relationship building.
And honestly, just being a good friend to your co-worker.
And rolling up your sleeve and print late into the night with them.
And sharing personal stories about your families.
Things that make that final shirt hot off the press, feel just a bit softer.

These are just some of the lessons I brought with me when I decided to  switch into advertising.

Same shirt, different day.

Since then i've had the pleasure to wear different shirts at agencies like GUT, Golin, and Dentsu Creative.

I've worked on brands like WhatsApp, Popeyes, Patagonia, Tim Hortons, Lays, Cheetos, Doritos, Michelob Ultra, Bud Light Seltzer, Instagram, Trolli, McDonalds, and Grubhub.

I've worked on campaigns recognized by Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show Ad Age's Top 5 Celebrity Meals, Forbes, Business Insider, Fox News, The Washington Post, Buzzfeed, Hypebeast and many more.

Today, I'm a Creative Director at Dentsu Creative's Social Lab, working on brands like Tropicana, Naked, TUMS, Preparation H (yes the butt brand), Chapstick, Emergen-C, Sony, and Subway.

Whenever not working, I'm screen printing shirts in my garage or petting my cats.
